Information that you provide to me is handled in accordance with the current Data Protection Act, the principles of which are that personal information should be:
- Fairly and lawfully processed
- Processed for limited purposes
- Adequate, relevant and not excessive
- Accurate
- Not kept longer than necessary
- Processed in accordance with your rights as the data subject
- Secure
Protecting your Privacy
Information that you provide to me, is processed and stored solely for the purposes of:
- Administration
- Public relations
- Accounts and records
- Communications between myself and you
Under the Data Protection Act you are:
Entitled to request a copy of any information held about you. Entitled to data rectification – i.e. the right to request that any inaccurate data that is held about you is corrected, or if I have incomplete information you may request that I update the information such that it is complete. Entitled to data erasure – i.e. the right to request me to delete personal data that I hold about you.
Confidentiality
I may only share your data with other qualified healthcare practitioners solely for the purposes of your care. I never otherwise share your data with a third party. I never sell your data. Data will not be given to other parties except as may be required by law. I never share quotes from patients without their express permission. Your data security is as important to me as my own.
